Everyday ten million females struggle with eating disorders. Anorexia is defined as self-starvation in order to have extreme weight loss and bulimia is binge eating and then self-inducing vomiting in order to reverse weight gain. Many people do not understand that these are actually life threatening diseases that can result in death.
There’s no fancy bell that rings at 3:10, never the less, students flood the hallways and stream out the doors. As students flee quickly from the school, they stop and pause. They hear a sound that takes them back to their childhood, a jingle that pulls their eyes to a white truck.

People die all the time, people also go missing all the time. For society, it seems normal. The body of George DeGrazio, 66 was found in a locked family restroom at the Cinemark in Fort Collins. DeGrazio had died of a heart attack. It would be a normal scenario, however the body wasn’t discovered until 5 days later due to the body’s rotting smell.

When one approaches any novel by Danielewski, they usually expect innovative typography mixed with the author’s surprising prose. This was shown in his first book, House of Leaves, where he manipulated the text on the page to express ideas, thoughts, metaphors, and plot. High school boys are mischievous people and don’t usually think before they act. An effect of this is the mysterious hole in the upstairs high school boy’s bathroom. This bathroom is filled with many secrets. Boys you will understand. Girls, you will never know. Apparently to a boy, peeing gets very boring.

Matched by Ally Condie is very similar to the Hunger Games. Although it has the ‘love triangle’ and similar problems with the government as The Hunger Games it isn’t exactly the same. It does have it’s own plot, it was actually just as, if not more so, interesting then the Hunger Games.
