Matched by Ally Condie is very similar to the
Hunger Games. Although it has the ‘love triangle’ and similar problems with the government as
The Hunger Games it isn’t exactly the same. It does have it’s own plot, it was actually just as, if not more so, interesting then the Hunger Games.

Matched Trilogy coming out on top of The Hunger Games?
Cassia, the heroine of the novel, is a sorter. It’s interesting that what she’s good at is sorting people, objects, colors, numbers, etc. Her future career which will be decided by the Officials is what starts making the book more interesting. When she has to sort the workers at the Nutrition center to see who is more capable and who isn’t. Ky, who she befriends in an activity oversaw by the Officials, is the hardest to sort because he purposely works in the middle. Hoping that saying he is a hard worker will give him a better position Cassia sorts him there.
It’s definitely hard not to miss the similarities between The Hunger Games and Matched. Matched is one book that is worth reading despite the similarities.
