Broncos Win. Hooray.

On Sunday, the Broncos finished the Steelers game with a surprising victory, much to the delight of the fans. “When the game started, I was certainly worried it was going to be a letdown. The last few games weren’t their best,” said sophomore Jaylin Chacon. But the Broncos won 29 to 23, finishing in overtime with an 80-yard-pass. “By the end of the second quarter, my thoughts about the outcome had changed dramatically! Towards the end I was extremely excited and nervous, and when they went into overtime I didn’t think I was going to make it,” she added.

University students like Jaylin were very excited about the outcome of the game, as was evident from their enthusiastic Facebook-posting. There are many Tim Tebow fans who are even more excited as a result of this. “Many people didn’t even have faith or believe in Tebow’s passing game, but 316 yards was enough to prove him capable,” said Jayin.

The Broncos will play the Patriots next Saturday for the divisional playoff game. The Patriots already beat them on Dec. 18th, ending their six game winning streak, so this will be a dramatic turnout either way. But their fans hopes have skyrocketed with the victory on Sunday. Jaylin said, “Like Tebow always says he has a great team to work with and I hope they go all the way”.

Only Revolutions Book Review

Inside of the book

When one approaches any novel by Danielewski, they usually expect innovative typography mixed with the author’s surprising prose. This was shown in his first book, House of Leaves, where he manipulated the text on the page to express ideas, thoughts, metaphors, and plot. Yet as one picks up Only Revolutions, the typography offers less of an art form and more of a daunting task the reader must traverse. This mixed with Danielewski playing with prose …

Multi-tasking Boys

31 Jan 2012

feat.

High school boys are mischievous people and don’t usually think before they act. An effect of this is the mysterious hole in the upstairs high school boy’s bathroom. This bathroom is filled with many secrets. Boys you will understand. Girls, you will never know. Apparently to a boy, peeing gets very boring. Since boys are die hard multi-taskers they tend to do other things while doing their business, such as checking their texts, checking the …

Matched Book Review

Matched Trilogy coming out on top of The Hunger Games?

Matched by Ally Condie is very similar to the Hunger Games. Although it has the ‘love triangle’ and similar problems with the government as The Hunger Games it isn’t exactly the same. It does have it’s own plot, it was actually just as, if not more so, interesting then the Hunger Games.  Cassia, the heroine of the novel, is a sorter. It’s interesting that what she’s good at is sorting people, objects, colors, numbers, etc. …
